Axis & Ink is a nonprofit publishing house built around a simple idea: that a well-written book can rewire your perspective, and maybe the culture around you.

We publish voices that challenge norms, blend science with soul, and make truth feel readable. Our titles defy category and resist cliché. They're here to educate, agitate, and stay with you long after the last page. Because when words are this good, they do more than inform—they ignite.

Our Mission

We publish bold, necessary works that deepen our understanding of health, identity, and the human experience, especially from voices left out of traditional wellness, literary, and scientific spaces.

We champion underrepresented authors, support ambitious writing, and create space where art, evidence, and equity aren’t in tension, but in alignment.

This is publishing as a public act.

Narrative urgency. The right story at the right time can change policy, perception, and even the way we heal.

Scientific clarity without jargon. Facts should be beautiful. And understandable.

Books as equity tools. We champion work that challenges gatekeeping in medicine, publishing, and beyond.

How We Work

Axis & Ink is small by choice and agile by design. We pair editorial excellence with a nonprofit ethos: collaboration over clicks, resonance over reach.

Our titles are developed with care: every edit, every design choice, every launch rooted in integrity and intent. We don’t follow the market. We follow the meaning.

We publish across genres: nonfiction, memoir, investigative wellness, and science-backed cultural commentary. If it’s urgent, if it’s truthful, if it belongs in a reader’s hands but not on a bestseller formula spreadsheet, then we want to publish it.

Axis & Ink is in the early chapters of our story, and we’re building with intention.

We’re not rushing to fill roles or replicate publishing-as-usual. Instead, we’re listening. Imagining. And staying open to what this space can become.

Our Location

Axis & Ink Publishing is proudly registered in Wyoming, a state known for championing independent enterprise and nonprofit innovation.

While our business roots are here, our work is borderless. We collaborate remotely across time zones, with occasional in-person meetups and partner gatherings.
